Office of International Programs Graphic Design Internship

Over my time at the OIP Office I’ve learned a lot about working on design in a professional atmosphere. I’ve learned how to work on both long term projects, and deliverables with short turnarounds. It's also given me better insight about working with other designers in the office, and has made me more conscious about communication and file setup. Overall the experience has made me grow as a designer and given me experience in an office environment.
International Festival
This is the biggest project I worked on during my internship. This was due to many factors such as the size of the event and the fact that I was the only design intern at the time, when the office generally has two or three on staff. I was in charge of tasks such as designing the promotional materials, designing day-of signage, and communicating with office staff and third parties about materials. This experience taught me a lot about working on a long term project and working quickly under pressure for more last minute items.
Marian Beane Crossing Boarders Writing Competition
I created a poster, instagram post, and LCD graphic for the Marian Beane Crossing Boarders Writing Competition. I worked with the brand colors and a geometrical setup that was designed to grab the attention on the viewer and make the information digestible.
