Lumie Brand
Branding • Staging • Logo Design • Print Production • UI/UX Design
“Lumie” focuses on support for underprivileged pregnant individuals in the Triad Area. North Carolina has the seventh highest rate in the country for women without healthcare coverage, and is twelfth in the nation for the population of women living in poverty. This leaves women who are pregnant with little money to pay for the expenses of a baby. “Lumie” aims to bring support, community, and knowledge to this demographic, to create a better experience through the pregnancy and childbirth process.
The final products I created for the brand include a mailer box with
supplies for new mothers, a booklet that goes over information to help mothers advocate for themselves in various ways, and an app to help create a local network of support.
Mailer Box
I created a mailer box that includes items for both the mother and the baby. Parents would be able to order this box online or through the Lumie app for free. The first box would be delivered right before the baby's due date, and two more boxes will be delivered in the months following.
Booklet
I designed a booklet that would be distributed to locations like medical offices, community centers, and other places where pregnant individuals would often visit. This booklet was made to spread awareness and information on topics such as creating a birth plan, and different options for financing medical expenses. It would serve as a tool to help the mothers advocate for themselves due to better information about their circumstances.
App
I created an app focusing on local community support. The app has multiple functions including the listing of services and items, either for free or for sale, forums for questions and answers, the creating and listing events or groups, and more. By making this app community focused it reduces the need to rely on large corporations and high cost services.
